Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame & PCGS Limited Edition Jersey # Collection Signature Set (2020-present)

In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (NMBHOF), the United States Mint launched a special commemorative coin program that incorporated basketball themes on clad half dollars, silver dollars, and gold $5 coins. During this 2020 commemorative program, PCGS was proud to partner directly with the recipient organization, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, to create an all-star lineup of Signature Labels with some of the biggest names in basketball, past and present, to be paired with the Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins and other coins the NMBHOF approved. The nine Signature Labels in this set were produced by PCGS private signings and are in different colors, based on the player’s jersey number and team. For example, there are only 12 Ja Morant labels signed in a teal/blue ink to honor his #12 Memphis Grizzly’s Jersey number. Sales of the coin from the United States Mint and proceeds from the sale of these special PCGS labels will directly benefit the Hall. Collect one of each player’s colored signature labels to complete this set on any coin with which they are paired.

These are limited-edition labels and are separate from the standard black-and-blue ink signatures done in larger quantities. This set is a work in progress.
