Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Private Collection Signature Set (1998-present)

In recognition of the 60th Anniversary of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (NMBHOF), the United States Mint launched a special commemorative coin program that incorporated basketball themes on clad half dollars, silver dollars, and gold $5 coins. For this 2020 commemorative program, PCGS proud partnered directly with the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (NMBHOF), to create an all-star lineup of Signature Labels with some of the biggest names in basketball, past and present, to be paired with the Basketball Hall of Fame Commemorative Coins and American Silver Eagles. The 29 Signature Labels in this set were produced by the NMBHOF directly and bear the exclusive “Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame Private Collection” designation on the labels in addition to the players’ signatures. Only coins directly from the Hall of Fame’s allotment and labels produced directly from the Hall can have this separate designation added to the coin. Sales of the coin from the United States Mint and proceeds from the sale of these special PCGS labels will directly benefit the Hall. Collect one of each player’s Signature Labels to complete this set on any coin they are paired with.

As additional 2020 U.S. Mint basketball-themed coins and Signature Labels are introduced to the market, they will be added to this set. This set is for U.S. coins only.
