Half Dime Type Set, Proof (1829-1873)

Like all of the denominational Proof Type sets, completing the Half Dime set entails the acquisition of some pre-1858 Proofs, which are few and far between. While not quite as tough as the larger denominations, that is strictly a relative comparison as the No Drapery Seated Half Dime of 1838-1840 is represented on the PCGS Population Report by only a small handful of pieces. The No Stars Seated Half Dime of 1837 is no easy task either, with only about a dozen pieces certified in PCGS's nearly 30 year history.
