关于此套币: The 1927-D $20 Saint Gaudens is the rarest 20th century coin silver or gold. I purchased the 1927-D $20 Saint Gaudens in the Paramount section of Auction '84 lot #999 in Detroit, Michigan. The coin was sold by J.A. MacDonell, a 90 year old gentleman known as Mr. Lima, Ohio, with a eye for quality. He purchased the coin in 1947 from the well known coin dealer James Kelly for $2,000, I paid at auction '84 $198,000. I have retained the original brown 2"x2" envelope Mr. MacDonnel purchased the 1927-D $20 in 1947 with the description "D mint extremely rare unc". The coin was certified in 1989 by PCGS as MS65.
