Jefferson Nickels FS Classic Set, Circulation Strikes (1938-1964)

In 1938, designer Felix Schlag immortalized Thomas Jefferson, America’s third President and the author of the Declaration of Independence, on a five cent piece that has been known ever since as the Jefferson Nickel. Collectors love this set because it is easy to complete and contains no expensive rarities. The classic set contains all the dates and mintmarks between 1938 and 1964 as well as the two overmintmark varieties of 1954 and 1955. While no coin in this set is rare, the keys will be the mintmarked issues of 1939 and the two overmintmark varieties. With Full Steps, some of these can be elusive.
