This has been alot of fun to build, just finding the old rattler holders are a challenge and you never know where you will find one. I am trying to build the set with a coin in Full Bands and Not full bands. This has been difficult to do since it seems that some dates all you can find is full bands, and other dates you can't find in rattlers. And you would think that the value of these coins in the eighties did not justify the price of the slabs, But these dates seems to be quite common. And the short set can be completed in a short time without much cost. It can still use some upgrades and out of Approx 1.6 million rattlers I shoud be able to find them. I will be adding other rattler sets as I get the time. I am always on the look out for one more rattler. Be sure to check out my coin album, I have allot of items in there that can't be put in sets.

I now have this set as complete as I think I can have it. The 1945P with full bands and in a rattler, might not even exist, much less in a current holder of today. I have been looking around for the last couple of years to find one just for sale but as of (11/3/14) today, I have only seen one. Just a few sets on the registry even have one included in the sets. I also have the 1945 micro 's' with out FB and with FB in rattlers. Just this sets does not want to include them.

I do have all the dates of this short set in rattlers and not with Full Bands
Now if I can just get PCGS to have a short set where you can have both FB and Not FB coins in the same set.
Thanks for the comments, it seems the the rattler collecting is now going full speed as alot of coins are now listed in a rattler holder and are easier to find although there are still some dates that are just not there.
Your statements are very true. I have been collecting for a while. I have both sets going. I have found a few years that just don't have FB or just the opposite. You would think it would drive the price up if others really knew it. I have seen a 1945-P FB64 in a rattler. it sold for $4,900. That was 5 years ago. I have only seen 2 others. so they do exist. FYI. Nice set.....

Thanks I look forward to the competition. But this is only half of the set. The rest is done in Rattlers without the FB; I am getting close to completing it. I guess I will have to start a RJP Rattler Short Set Non FB
I must build one of these! i will do it! I am coing after you in 2013!
