Rick's 1833 Mint Set

关于此套币: This set won't set any records but is a relatively simple and inexpensive set to complete. It also is representative of an interesting era in our Nation's history during the second term of President Andrew Jackson. President Jackson was opposed to a national bank and preferred gold and silver to fiat currency. The Whig Party was formed in opposition to Jackson's banking philosophy. Jackson removed all government funds from the "National Bank" and deposited them in charted state banks. In 1835 President Jackson paid off the entire national debt; the only time in U.S. history this has been accomplished.
