The 1901 Mint Set contains a couple what we call a "show stoppers" First off, the 1901-S Quarter. With a negligible mintage of only 72,664 pieces, it is a mid-four figure coin even in Good condition! High grade circs run well into five-figures and be prepared to trade the house for a top end MS specimen. As if that coin isn't enough, the 1901-P Morgan is a major condition rarity, and what starts as a rather ordinary coin in circulated condition quickly escalates in Mint State to the point of unaffordability (and unavailability) above MS-64, which for a Morgan Dollar, is almost unheard of.
