An only child, she met her husband to be, Edward Mortimer Paterson (my father), at the Pacific Coast Club in Long Beach, CA while playing badminton. On their first date, Mom wore a dress with roses on it and thus the nickname 'Rosie'. My parents were married 24 June 1945 at Long Beach, Ca. Mom passed away 27 March 2012 in Carlsbad, CA.
