1950-Present Mint Set with Major Varieties

As with most of the recent Mint Sets, the great challenge lies in the varieties. While no regular issue after 1950 is even remotely tough, there are roughly twenty varieties that will tax even the most diligent collectors. In fact, the top three varieties in this set are as difficult as anything from the 18th or 19th century. These include the 1969-S Doubled Die Cent, the 1958 Doubled Die Cent (3 known according to the Redbook) and the 1992 Close AM cent (fewer than 5 known). Completing this set will be difficult, but at least a couple of collectors are giving it a go.
