The Garrett Collection included one of the finest territorial gold collections ever assembled. Most of the coins were purchased by John Work Garrett and they must have been a special passion of his. The Garrett set of Colorado Gold is nearly complete. It contains all eight Clark Gruber issues, both of the rare Parsons issues, and one of the Conways. The Garrett Collection had eleven of the thirteen Colorado Gold issues and was one of the finest sets of Colorado Gold ever assembled.
