Philippines Five Centavos, Circulation Strikes (1903-1945)

This is interesting series with some very peculiar issues. In 1918, dies used for the 20-centavo coins were used to strike 5-centavo coins erroneously resulting in one of the greatest rarities in the entire U.S.-Philippines series – the 1918-S 5 centavo mule. Scarce in uncirculated condition, collectors could search for years before locating a high grade specimen. One thing is certain, however, once completed this set will be an achievement worthy of praise.
