Beautiful strike, good gown detail on OBV, great detail on REV. Lots of luster.

Doesn't get much more mirror-like than this!

U.S.A. $1 (Draped Bust Dollar) Dated 1799 in NGC VF25 Holder. Catalog B-12, BB-160, R.3. Intermediate to Late Die State. This obverse die was only used once, to strike 1799 B-12, BB-160, and a close examination of the obverse of this piece shows the probable reason. There is a barely visible die break at the bottom of bust toward the right of "1799", and a clearly visible die break between the bust and star number one that runs up to the fifth star in half circle. The reverse is the "No Berries Reverse". An interesting variety with the die breaks and beautifully toned. Superior for the Assigned Grade. BB-160, B-12
