GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Dollar, 1897/6-B. Bombay Mint. Victoria. PCGS AU-55 Gold Shield. KM-T5; Mars-BTD1; Prid-4. A SCARCEand popular overdate with much evidence of a reused die from the previous year. Upon close inspection of the obverse one will notice evidence of die clashing where portions of the central reverse design are somewhat hidden within the design feature of Britannia. A neat an interesting issue sure to garner much attention from the specialist. The piece displays light signs of handling consistent for the grade plenty of remaining luster and a thin veneer of tone. Estimate: $400 - $600.
