- One of the FINEST KNOWN Longacre Indian Princess dollars that exists, regardless of Judd number. It is one of the most beautiful obverse designs in the entire pantheon of Pattern issues. Liberty, wearing a feathered headdress is seated facing left, her hand supporting a globe, holding a pole with a Liberty cap and flags behind. Struck in high relief, the devices are almost medallic in nature. The reverse is the regular 1871 Proof reverse die. Struck in copper with a plain edge, this is a Rarity-7- Pattern dollar with about a dozen known in all grades. This is the FINEST graded, and it is more than worthy of that designation. Remarkable mirrors are crystal clear, are perfectly clean, are deep, and have magical ultra strong reflectivity. The mirrors look like a freshly formed clear sheet of ice. Stunning ORIGINAL colors of pale Mint Red/gold/pale violet beam from both sides. There are NO spots, but there is a small unquestionable toning stain in the eagle on the reverse. Miss Liberty and every detail are frosted and have full crisp strikes. This coin is total delicious eye candy! PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 2. This is the ONLY PR66+ RB graded and it realized $25,850 in our January 2020 Regency Auction. Prior to that, this coin realized $28,200 in our May 2018 Regency Auction (as PR66 RB , and subsequently submitted for ""+""). The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $35,000. Too bad this design never made it into coinage--it is beautiful! This will be a stunning fit in anyone's SUPERB Pattern collection. Cert. Number 34359082 PCGS # 71410
