- 1739/8-BB Sou Marque. Strasbourg Mint. Vlack-250a. Rarity-7. AU-58 (PCGS). 32.2 grains. The rare overdate variety of this issue, showing ever so faintly below and under the loop of the primary digit 9 in the date what appears to be the lower right side of the bottom loop of an underlying 8. The coin is warm dove and olive-gray in color and has traces of luster in the fields, full silvering to both sides. The mintmark has been punched over another letter or design element.
