1872 Pattern Commercial Dollar. Judd-1217, Pollock-1358. Rarity-8. Proof-64+ RB (PCGS). 1871 Pattern Half Dollar. Judd-1115, Pollock-1251. Rarity-7-. Proof-65 BN (PCGS). The obverse features William Barber's low relief copy of James Barton Longacre's indian princess design. Liberty is seated left wearing a feathered headdress, her right hand supporting a liberty pole and her left hand resting atop a globe inscribed LIBERTY. There are two flags behind the portrait, one of which exhibits 13 stars. Thirteen stars encircle the border and the date 1872 is below. On the reverse, the denomination COMMERCIAL DOLLAR, the specified weight 420 GRS and the fineness 900 FINE are inscribed within an olive wreath. Two crossed cornucopiae divide the words COMMERCIAL and DOLLAR. The legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is above and the motto GOD OUR TRUST is inscribed on a scroll at&nbsp;the base of the wreath.
