This is a VERY HIGH END GEM 1902 dollar. After 1900, the mint changed the way Proofs were made, and the heavy polishing over the die face left the devices polished as well as the fields. Cameos, unlike on earlier issues are ultra rare. Indeed, all 1902 Proofs are exceedingly RARE in GEM CAMEO! Superior mirrors are deep and powerful. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors have a full "watery" roll. There are NO problems anywhere. There is some light golden toning on most of the reverse and the rims on the obverse. The contrast is bold. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and are totally covered by a silvery frost. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping! Only 777 were minted. PCGS 1, NGC 3, CAC 2. This coin sold for $21,600 in May 2022 and prior to that we sold one for $25,850. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $30,500. PCGS has graded just two finer, bid accordingly. Cert.
