详细说明: Totally original! These early Liberty $10s are often seen conserved, and coins with pleasing, original surfaces are genuinely quite difficult to find. A soft satin luster clings to the protected areas of the design. Bold definition of the devices show how well struck this coin was before it entered circulation. Close inspection does reveal some minor friction lines in the fields, but the eye appeal is very high end for the grade. The Large Date is identified by the Crosslet 4 in the date. While David Akers believed that the Large and Small Date varieties were essentially equal in terms of rarity, more recent data from PCGS's CoinFacts researcher, Gordon Wrubel notes that it is seen about twice as often as the Small Date. Either way, it is noted by both experts that it is scarce in AU grades, and very few exist in Mint State. It is interesting to note however that CAC has approved a total of 7 Large Date, and 11 Small Date. PCGS 10, NGC 22, CAC 1. This coin recently sold for $2,000 in June 2017.
