- FROM THE BANKER COLLECTION Ex Simpson Collection. This is the SINGLE FINEST example of this Rarity-7+ Standard Silver Pattern quarter, one of fewer than half a dozen examples known. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This is a stunning VERY HIGH END SUPERB GEM. Shimmering mirrors are deep, crystal clear, clean, and have vivid reflectivity. Even using a strong glass, we really cannot find any reason this coin is not a PR67 (that is NO guarantee). Both sides have a gorgeous even brown/blue/violet color mix that is unquestionably totally ORIGINAL. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have full strikes. The eye appeal is fabulous! PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. This coin hammered for $6,000 in our May 2017 Regency Auction's offering of Bob Simpson's Standard Silver Patterns, and the Judd book values a PR65 at $9,200; there is a Collectors Universe value at $7,500.
