1806 Draped Bust Half Dollar. O-106. Rarity-4. Knobbed 6, Small Stars. AU-50 (NGC). OH. Scarce as a die variety and close to the Condition Census for this issue. Pleasing gunmetal-gray toning spans both the obverse and reverse in a uniform fashion, with hints of yellow and russet accenting the fields. The strike is sharper than average with one area of diagnostic softness on the reverse opposite Liberty's bust. Clean surfaces in general, with little more than a few thin lines and scuffs from brief circulation, retaining the eye appeal most collectors desire.
