From the November 2014 Heritage Beverly Hills sale , lot 3013, where it was partially described as: " A medium brown example of the famous " Spiked Chin " variety, caused when a bolt ( or some other hard object ) was struck into the obverse die. The surfaces of the present coin are unblemished and attractive.".

Valentine 7. LM-6. Very early die state with only a minute die crack connecting the tops of the 9 and 5 in the date. A very rare and seldom seen variety. Missing in the Eliasberg, Norweb, Garrett and most other major sales. Most of those seen, in recent years, have had problems. This is a nice problem free coin. Slightly better than the Logan-McCloskey plate coin and the Milton A. Holmes ( Valentine Plate ) coin. Certainly in the Condition Census. Cherry-picked at the 1994 FUN show.

It was partially described there as " Semi-Prooflike, with light yellow-green hues. An incredible strike for the issue, with very little weakness on the hair above Ms. Liberty's ear and on the corresponding portion of reverse. Remarkably, the feathers are almost entirely visible ( a most unusual situation for this notoriously-soft issue ). A difficult piece to improve upon." Far superior to the Eliasberg coin.

From the October 16, 2020 Heritage auction. No Serif , Right S, Variety 20F. It was described there as: " Ex: S.S. Central America, SSCA 2669. This Central America recovery coin has slight friction over the devices and a few scattered abrasions that keep it just outside of Mint State qualification, but for the AU 58 level it is exceptionally appealing and lustrous, hence the CAC endorsement.
