NEN - Aug 2009. Mintage: 863,000. Ex. Terner Collection. OMG, WOW! What more can be said? Stunning in reflective fields and razor sharp details. Pop 1/0, The oldest 6p to grade at MS68, and the next closest grade is MS66. Though using an excellent scanner, it doesn't pick up the reflective qualities of the fields or the razor sharp detail. Will probably one day have to resubmit this one for a true view photo.

American Heritage Minting - Jul 2006 - 'Northumberland' shilling - According to Rayner, 100 Pounds worth of these coins were distributed in Dublin by the Earl of Northumberland on his appointment as Lord Lieutenant. It is estimated that more than 2000 coins were minted. Rayner rated as scarce, but not rare. RARE certainly IS the case when trying to find a mint-state example.

NEN 2006. Mintage: 8,000. In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful coins ever minted. One day I'd like to upgrade it as well as acquire the MS issue. According to Rayner, "Mr. Stride, formerly Chief Clerk of the Royal Mint, says that the Gothic crowns were never issued for ordinary circulation and that all were struck in proof state. Some appear with the raised design heavily frosted, apparently early strikings."

S. Boronko - Mar 2011 - Razor sharp detailing to lettering and reverse wreath and ornamentation. In my humble opinion, the reverse is under graded when compared to the softer impression of Victoria. Overall display shows a soft toning to peripheral areas and a light golden tone to remaining. Simply a stunning strike to this early coin.

Atlas Numismatics May 2016. PCGS photo captures the reflective quality of the coin. In hand a deep and brilliant strike on this small denomination. Reverse still retains the bright patina which highlights Britannia as if she's back-lit.
AHM - Aug 2011. Even grey toning across the glossy reflective fields on both obverse and reverse. Superb and sharply struck images on each side as well. Probably under-graded for the detail.

Northeast Numismatics - Aug 2009. Hearts variety. Superb razor sharp detail to both obverse and reverse of coin. Finding superb strikes on any of the 1787 varieties is nearly unheard of. This will be a hard coin to match, let alone improve upon. Rayner rated as Extremely Common.

Henry III - Spink #1363 - It amazes me that a common penny of this age and circulated state has been able to meet PCGS' exacting standards against cleaning, enviornmental wear, or damage. It's mind boggling and probably undervalued for what it's endured through more years than America has been discovered! WOW!

Edward I (1272-1307) hammered silver penny. Long cross variety, New coinage beginning 1279. Spink #1393, plate 3g. The most distinctive changes for the new coinage are a better facial image on the obverse, and only a single bar cross rather than double. Highly circulated and clipped for the silver, these pennies were the workhorse of early England. Finding any that can meet the precise standards of PCGS grading is a true rarity, and in my estimation, undervalued. A beautiful blue-grey even toning to both sides adorns this gem.
