Light die clashing visible on the reverse. Purchased on Ebay from Twerys in March 2022.
Semi-Prooflike with great flash. Purchased from West Coast Coins at the 2023 MNS show.
A very tough type coin. Most of the obverse stars are flat as is common with this date. The reverse looks better than an AU 50 coin. Purchased from The Numismatic Financial Corporation at the 2016 ANA.
Variety 2,low date. Hollow ring at the top of the second vertical stripe in the shield. Very well struck except for the star radial lines which are invariably flat. Semi-prooflike. Very lightly abraded surfaces. A superior No Motto New Orleans Mint Eagle. Purchased from Mid-American Rare Coin Galleries at the 2013 ANA.
From the October 16, 2020 Heritage auction. No Serif , Right S, Variety 20F. It was described there as: " Ex: S.S. Central America, SSCA 2669. This Central America recovery coin has slight friction over the devices and a few scattered abrasions that keep it just outside of Mint State qualification, but for the AU 58 level it is exceptionally appealing and lustrous, hence the CAC endorsement. The strike is sharp, and the rich orange-gold patina is highly attractive." Die crack from point of bust through the first star.
From the Granite Lady Hoard. CAC sticker. Purchased from Coin and Bullion Reserves at the 2020 FUN show.
