Variety 2,low date. Hollow ring at the top of the second vertical stripe in the shield. Very well struck except for the star radial lines which are invariably flat. Semi-prooflike. Very lightly abraded surfaces. A superior No Motto New Orleans Mint Eagle. Purchased from Mid-American Rare Coin Galleries at the 2013 ANA.

1857-S $20 No Serif, Right S S.S. Central America #1 Gold Foil AU58 PCGS #70005

From the October 16, 2020 Heritage auction. No Serif , Right S, Variety 20F. It was described there as: " Ex: S.S. Central America, SSCA 2669. This Central America recovery coin has slight friction over the devices and a few scattered abrasions that keep it just outside of Mint State qualification, but for the AU 58 level it is exceptionally appealing and lustrous, hence the CAC endorsement. The strike is sharp, and the rich orange-gold patina is highly attractive." Die crack from point of bust through the first star.
