20th Century Type Set, Major Types No Gold, Proof (1900-1999)

This set is another of the “seen in circulation” groupings. Of course, Proofs are not often encountered in circulation, but their circulation strike counterparts are part of today’s economy; the early twentieth century issues were also staples of the United States during their heyday with many of them (Indian Head cents, Buffalo nickels, Mercury dimes, Standing Liberty quarters, Walking Liberty half dollars, etc.) among the most popular American coins. Completing the set is not too difficult, but finding high grade examples of some of the types is a daunting task. This is one of the most spectacular looking sets when completed, as many of the brilliant Proofs can be obtained in Deep Cameo.
