The Cumberland Valley Collection 的钱币相册
Purchased from New England Rare Coin Auctions 1982 FUN show sale of the Orchard Hill Collection. Lot 1380 where it was described as " Attractive frosty lustre. Hardly any actual wear, but light friction in some of the open fields. Very well struck with almost full detail including the usually softly struck eagle's leg ".
A very nice strike and great luster. Purchased from Mid-American Rare Coin Galleries at the 2023 ANA.
Small Date. Variety one. Very clean and mark free surfaces. At first glance the coin looks better than a 45. Lot 143 from Scotsman Auction on November 5, 2021 where it was partially described as " Flashy luster against the devices for this agreeably smooth two-toned example. Corn-gold denotes wear on the high points against a yellowish backdrop".
According to David W. Akers the 1867-S is tied with two other dates for the lowest average grade in Liberty Head Quarter Eagles. Slightly weak on eagle's right leg as are most. Very nice reddish gold toning. Purchased from Westford Rare Coins at the 2019 Missouri Numismatic Society show.
