- R-5 (31-75 minted). Draped and crowned bust of Liberty attributed to Kneass, but likely designed by Gobrecht. Reverse: perched eagle with olive branch and four arrows. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Most known examples are restrikes, struck in the late 1850s. Brilliant, flashy silver reflection shines with strong mirrors on both sides. Well struck for the issue, with is usually weak in the centers. There are a small number of hairlines on both sides which account for the grade. A scarce and early pattern that is always popular. PCGS 6, NGC 1. The last one to sell brought $4,080 in February and an NGC sold for $4,200 February and March 2018. These are not common and very popular among Bust half collectors, as well as pattern collectors. Good luck! Cert. Number 35140712 PCGS # 11282
