- While barely worn at all, the mintmark does its usual thing (for 1911-D) and appears a trifle weaker than intended, although it is certainly much stronger than some examples that almost entirely lack the "D". Both sides offer highly attractive medium-gold, or maybe slightly darker hue. An attractive, wholesome and altogether desirable example of the famous key.
