1848 Liberty Quarter Eagle. MS-61 (PCGS). OGH--Second Generation. Boldly lustrous orange gold surfaces with pale olive highlights. Nicely struck for the date and type with just the usual lightness at the eagle's dexter leg. Virtually unmarked to the unaided eye and choice within the assigned grade. One of just 6,500 examples of the date struck for intended circulation, and a respectable rarity in Mint State grades.
