A real GEM example of this popular Civil War date Seated Liberty quarter. Bold, satiny luster blooms all over the smooth, generally problem free surfaces. The devices are well struck and frosty. The lightest dusting of clear gold is noted and intense magnification reveals a tiny tick or two, hidden in the design elements. Exceptional in terms of eye appeal. Amazing that this coin survived the ravages of the War Between the States. PCGS 11, NGC 11. The last non-CAC coin to sell in auction realized $4,200 over four years ago and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,500.
