The all important missing leg is clear and easily visible to the naked eye. Struck from a very late state of the dies, with much die rust and some clashing. The story of the 3-Legged Buffalo nickel has been told many times over. It is a coin that is well known even to the many outside of numismatics. Well publicized over the years, collectors have kept a keen eye out in circulation. Most known are moderately to well worn, falling in the VF to XF range.
