For some versions of a "short set" of Walking Liberty half-dollars, 1934 counts as the first year, and the 1934-S thereby becomes key to that set. Here is a boldly struck specimen that is lightly toned in shades of yellow-grey with a bright flash of chartreuse at upper left. The unmarked surface absolutely radiate satin-smooth luster and an original appearance.
