- (t) CHINA. Kwangtung. 7 Mace 2 Candareens (Dollar), ND (1909-11). Kwangtung Mint. Hsuan-t'ung (Xuantong [Puyi]). PCGS AU-50. L&M-138; K-31; KM-Y-206; WS-0950. Quite alluring and somewhat elusive, this pleasing "Dragon" Dollar can count amongst its assets a rich luster on the dragon side that is complimented by some framing almond and cherry toning. The character side does display some friction and marking, likely accounting for the grade. Very little marking is seen, making this piece a desirable addition to any collection of Kwangtung pieces, or Chinese Dollars more generally. Estimate: $1,000 - $2,000.
