详细说明: 1849-C Liberty Quarter Eagle. Winter Variety 1 (11-G), the only known dies. MS-61 (NGC). The 1849-C is a low-mintage Quarter Eagle with just 10,220 pieces produced. The issue ranks eighth in overall and 11th in high-grade rarity in the Charlotte Mint Quarter Eagle series (these rankings are per Doug Winter, 2008), and it is typically offered in VF or EF grades. Mint State coins are very rare and probably number fewer than 10 different pieces.<br /> This khaki-gold survivor is well struck for the issue with only minor softness of detail to the highpoints in and around the centers. There is no significant wear to report, but light scuffiness to the surfaces and a lackluster appearance limit the grade to the BU level. A pair of short abrasions on the obverse over and before Liberty's neck are mentioned for pedigree purposes.
