详细说明: 1876 Twenty-Cent Piece. Proof-63 Cameo (NGC). Lovely iridescent toning in steely-rose blankets both sides and provides superior eye appeal for the assigned numeric grade. Pleasingly smooth in hand, as well, with a full strike and appreciable cameo contrast. At 1,500 pieces produced, the 1876 boasts the highest mintage in the Proof twenty-cent series of 1875 to 1878. The Mint undoubtedly stepped up production of Proof coinage this year in anticipation of strong sales in connection with the United States' centennial. While survivors of this issue are plentiful by the standards of the type, few have been as nicely preserved as this handsome Cameo specimen. Provenance: From the BASH Collection.
