There are two ways the ubiquitous 1921 Morgan dollar does not come: beautifully toned, or in DMPL! In Regency Auction 57 we were honored to offer a GORGEOUS toned example; and in Regency 58, we are honored to offer this tied for FINEST CAC approved 1921 DMPL dollar. Across all grades, PCGS has graded fewer than 20 in the DMPL designation, and just a single example is graded higher at PCGS. AMAZING 8++" deep mirrored fields are blazing, creating a stunning black and white contrast on both sides. The deeply beaming mirrors are blinding in their brilliance! The surfaces have a bold compliment of cartwheel luster that amplifies the flash. The devices are crisply struck up and have thick frost that contrasts boldly against the intensity of the surrounding reflective fields. While a strong glass reveals a stray tick or two this impressive coin is on the cusp of a full GEM grade and none are worthy of singling out.
