THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART V This is a very cool early date New Orleans Seated Liberty half dollar. Sharply struck on both sides, with just the slightest hint of friction in the fields and on the high points. The reverse die was shattered when this example was struck, with multiple cracks that begin at the rims at 3:00, 7:00, 9:00, and 11:00, and go towards the center. Likely dipped at one time, the surfaces appear a little bright, but the satiny frost remains with a soft brilliant sheen. PCGS 16, NGC 18. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $1,250. NGC has graded fewer than two dozen in Mint State, making this one a neat coin for the collector. Cert. Number 1610468016 PCGS # 6235
