- Exceptional BU 1889-CC Morgan Dollar 1889-CC Morgan Silver Dollar. MS-62 DMPL (PCGS). Our multiple offerings in this sale notwithstanding, the 1889-CC is the rarest CC-Mint issue in the Morgan dollar series. This is particularly true at the Mint State level, and the present lot offers an especially desirable BU example. The finish is decidedly prooflike, the fields revealing deep mirrored reflectivity as the surfaces dip into a light. The design elements exhibit a more satiny texture, and the entire package is dressed in soft sandy-silver patina that is a bit bolder on the obverse.
