- 1738-P Sou Marque. Dijon Mint. Vlack-161a. Rarity-5. AU-58 (PCGS). 30.0 grains. A well centered, boldly defined piece with blended antique gold and light rose toning to a base of warm pewter-gray. Much original silvering remains. Minor planchet roughness in the center of the reverse is as made. There are no marks of consequence, and scattered carbon flecks on both sides are so small as to be easily overlooked in hand. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
