Among the FINEST examples extant of this early S-mint date. A satin like glow shows some glossy luster on both sides. The strike is bold for the date, but does show some minor weakness in areas, as typical. Very eye appealing with a natural nickel-pewter toning on both sides. This GEM has a lot to offer the Buffalo nickel specialist! PCGS 35, NGC 17. The last NGC coin sold in April 2016 for $8,813, and more recently a PCGS MS65 sold for $8,724 in the 2018 FUN auction. The current CU value is listed at $15,000 and NGC has graded just a single MS66 finer. Bound for a very high grade set of Buffaloes! Cert. Number 1842316-005 PCGS # 3940
