A virtually FLAWLESS Huguenot half dollar. A truly sensational and colorful SUPERB GEM example. The frosty lustrous surfaces show a satiny sheen that glows through the wonderful, original colorful toning that adorns both obverse and reverse. Splashes of blue, gold, and orange toning blends with earthy iridescent toning. The surfaces are free of distracting marks. The strike is sharp and the eye appeal is bold. With just five coins ever grading higher, this gorgeous MS67+ is about as high a grade Huguenot half dollar anyone could ever hope to add to their SUPERB set. PCGS 100, NGC 72, CAC 30. There are 24 graded MS67+ at PCGS and just a half dozen finer. The most recent example to sell was not CAC approved and realized $5,640 in our May 2021 Regency Auction. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $7,250. The MS68 CAC example from our recent offering of the Unforgettable Collection realized $47,000, a world record price.
