详细说明: FROM THE WOLVERINE COLLECTION. Ex Perfection 2, as noted on the holder. Tied for FINEST graded in the CAMEO designation, this is an AMAZING GEM Proof example of this early date Indian cent. Brilliant orange-red color shows the slightest mellowing, but it does not change the stunning reflection of the fields. All the devices are fully struck up with razor sharp crispness and are fully frosty, creating exceptional cameo contrast with the fields. The reverse is rotated about 170 degrees, a feature that Rick Snow points out is found on roughly 15% of Proof issues. Unlike many 1868 Proof cents, this coin does not have a streaky toning; it has nothing but exceptional and high end eye appeal! Only 600 were struck. PCGS 4, NGC 0, CAC 2. Prior to this coin selling in the 2016 FUN auction for $9,400, a NON-CAC coin sold in the 2011 ANA auction for $15,525. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $12,500.
