- Great Britain--Middlesex. 1796 The Three Thomases Farthing Token. D&H-1123a, W-8986. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-64 BN (PCGS). Blended golden-brown and antique copper patina greets the viewer from both sides of this smooth, hard and satiny near-Gem. Glints of pale rose color are evident to the persistent viewer, direct lighting also calling forth light lilac-gray undertones. Razor sharp in striking detail with strong visual appeal. The three Thomases hanging from a gallows on the obverse refer to revolutionary activists Thomas Pain, Thomas Spence and Thomas More. Click here for certification details from PCGS.
