1889 Liberty Seated Quarter. Proof-65+ (NGC). Enchanting surfaces are richly original, the obverse with iridescent cobalt blue and pinkish-apricot undertones to dominant charcoal-copper patina. The reverse is more deeply toned in charcoal-gray without the undertones. A handsome and uncommonly well preserved survivor from a mintage of 711 Proofs, most examples of which grade no finer than Choice. PCGS# 5590. NGC ID: 23XM.
