- 1846 Liberty Eagle. AU-53 (PCGS). An elusive issue in all grades that is also conditionally challenging, the 1846 Eagle is a particularly important find at and above the AU grade level. This handsome survivor possesses deep, rich, olive-orange color on both sides. The devices are well struck and the surfaces, although a bit scuffy overall, do not reveal many singularly distracting abrasions. Original mintage: just 20,095 pieces.
