- GERMANY. Saxony. Taler, 1595-HB. Christian II, Johann Georg I & August (1591-1611). NGC MS-63. Dav-9820; MB-314. Significant luster remains in the fields and the strike has rendered the design nearly complete with very little doubling. A soft golden base of tone and blue accents around the obverse legends further enhances the overall appearance. While appearances in this quality are extremely infrequent, we do note a similar NGC MS-63 graded example of the 1593 date that brought $1,600 hammer in our August 2016 auction. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
