- 1895 United States Assay Commission Medal. By Charles E. Barber. JK AC-39. Rarity-5. Copper. MS-65 BN (NGC). 76 mm. Blended pale olive and warmer autumn-brown patina adorns both sides of this predominantly smooth, satiny Gem Mint State specimen. Grover Cleveland is the only president in U.S. history to serve two non-consecutive terms, and this medal is a return to the design of his first term Assay Commission medals struck in 1888 and 1889 (JK AC-31 and AC-32, respectively).
