- 1788 Connecticut Copper. Miller 11-G, W-4510. Rarity-2. Mailed Bust Left--Obverse Counterstamped 1858--Good-6. 117.13 grains. Medium olive-brown surfaces exhibit light and scattered marks but to no great visual detriment. Rim clip at 11 o'clock relative to the obverse, rim tight to tops of CONNEC, random numerals "1858" counterstamped vertically across effigy's head -- this probably had some meaning to someone 150+ years ago, reverse rim through LIB, tiny flaws and marks at center, mostly as struck. Dies aligned about 150 degrees. PCGS# 403.
