- The Finest Graded of this Single Year Alamos Mint Gold Peso MEXICO. Peso, 1888-As L/M. Alamos Mint. NGC MS-63. Fr-158; KM-410. The only gold Peso issue from the Alamos Mint. VERY RAREand highly coveted as a type, this being the finest certified by either NGC or PCGS, with fully pronounced detail in the designs and bold prooflike characteristics in the fields. Although not designated on the NGC insert, close inspection reveals remnants of an M beneath the L assayer letter as well as the faint shadow of a bar below the s in the As mintmark where an Mo mintmark once existed.
