Obverse: CAROLINA D G MAG BR FR ET HIB REGINA, mantled bust left, wearing bandeau; Reverse: HIC AMOR HAEC PATRIA, Caroline standing facing, head lowered slightly left; to left, Religion standing right, holding Bible; to right, Britannia standing left, holding spear and Union shield; in two lines in exergue, CORON XI OCTOB / MDCCXXVII. An EXTREMELY RAREoffering in gold, this majestic specimen--struck not for the king, but rather for his consort--features stunning luster and brilliance, along with decidedly problem free fields.
